Bruce
Droste, President - Bruce@voltt.org
Bruce Droste is a life-long learner, educator and environmentalist.
As founding Director of the internationally recognized Virtual High
School, he built an online collaboration of over 200 schools serving
over 8,000 students. Prior to the Virtual High School project, Mr. Droste
worked with Senator John Kerry (MA) to found Second Nature, Inc. a non-profit
organization incorporating environmental principles in college and university
curricula, where he served as President and COO. He has been the Director
of Special Projects and an educational consultant for EARTHWATCH, an
international supporter of scientific and environmental research. He
is the founder and former headmaster of the Atrium School in Watertown,
MA. Bruce holds degrees from Harvard University, Marlboro College, and
certificates of advanced study from the Shady Hill School and Boston
State College. He has served on a variety of boards including The Trustees
of Reservations, Young Audiences of Massachusetts, and Marlboro College.
He is also a founding board member of the Christopher Reeve Foundation.
